About Carole
I am a Clinical Reflexologist and Chartered Work Psychologist treating individuals at all stages of their lives, including younger and older age groups. I take immense pride and satisfaction in supporting my clients in their health and wellness journeys providing individualised Reflexology treatments and relevant self-care advise.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy with general health benefits supporting improved sleep, the management of stress, promoting relaxation, the rebalancing of mood and overall well-being.
I practice the Duopody form of Reflexology which treats both feet simultaneously, stimulating the body’s natural healing process and restoring balance.
My level 5 Diploma in Applied Reflexology for Integrated Medicine (OFQUAL regulated) incorporates advanced Reflexology techniques which have been designed to provide support to those experiencing stress and anxiety, chronic illness, pain and receiving palliative care.
I am also an approved practitioner of the award winning Sally Kay Reflexology Lymph Drainage technique supporting clients living with primary and secondary Lymphoedema and autoimmune conditions and the Sally Earlam Reflexology for Menopause techniques helping clients to ‘live well’ at this stage of their lives.
In addition to my key academic qualifications I also hold certificates in relaxation skills training, performance and stress management and health and well-being coaching.
Additional Complementary Therapies
Indian Head Massage – based on the Ayurvedic system of healing that has been practised in India for thousands of years. The treatment lightly applies appropriate oils and massage techniques to the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, head, hair and face. Oils may be excluded if preferred. This is a deeply relaxing treatment, releasing stress and tension, regulating the nervous system and improving blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
Acupressure Facial Therapy – similar to acupuncture (without needles) and shiatsu, this therapy is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine - five elements and the Chinese Face Chart. It includes a relaxing and tension releasing neck and shoulder massage followed by the application of light circular finger pressure and massage to specific points on the face, neck and shoulders. In addition to being deeply relaxing and tension releasing, this therapy focusses on supporting clients living with particular health-related conditions (e.g. sinusitis, TMJ, headaches, stress).
Group Workshops
Small group immersive talks and workshops offering participants ‘bite-size’ knowledge and the opportunity, within a friendly environment to try out some self-care practices. Workshop topic examples: facial acupressure, hand reflexology, relaxation techniques, coping and motivational imagery and various stress management techniques.
