About Jennifer
I have a varied life and work experience having worked within the NHS and other sectors for many years. Counselling begins with our relationship, and we will work towards solutions which together we can identify and build. I have experience with clients on the autistic spectrum, LGBTQIA+ and bereavement, as well as many other areas besides. I work with clients from 16+ years.
My experience with children and young people has been supporting them with gender identity, sexuality and the difficult times experienced when growing through the teens into adulthood. I have also supported young people on the Autistic Spectrum, with ADHD, Cerebral Palsy and other differences. My World for many years has been based around enabling young people to achieve and enabling those caring for them to manage their feelings too.
I work within a safe space, for you, and it is a place where we can establish an understanding and honesty, allowing you to start to tackle the difficulties you are having. Sometimes it is so hard even to start to talk to a stranger. I understand that. With time and patience there is the possibility of clarity and healing.
My training as a counsellor is Humanistic Integrative, including transactional Analysis and Gestalt theories. These place you at the centre of the work and your goals are paramount. I am available for shorter fixed term sessions, or longer-term work.
